This is in Hol Chan Channel and Shark Ray Alley. We have plans to start installing demarcation buoys in Mexico Rocks next week.

It will be so nice when the new reserve goes into effect. The ranger in place and the ticket collecting haven't started yet. There is still fishing and this Snuba/Sea Trek thing is still on the reef.
When is this reserve starting guys?

Yes, and It will be interesting to see what happens when the ranger is posted.
The community tried to stop this operation because of it's negative environmental impact on the reef but failed.

Correction, they wanted to install an underwater walkway, the tour-guide association protested that during the public meeting and they abandoned their plans, so the SPTGA was successful. They are now doing their snuba and seatrek without the underwater walkways.
