Belize Reading Council was chartered in November 2008 and is an affiliate council of the International Reading Association. We aim to foster partnerships and relationships among teaching professionals in the development of literacy for all ages in Belize. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting effective reading instruction through professional development. BRC has joined the ranks of over 1,101 other councils and affiliates world wide.
