not sure if still true, but the cruise ships were dropping their daytrippers off there 2x a week to soak up the sun & take up the beach

Tropica was packaging "sun & fun" on their beach to cruise trippers during the low season but as far as I know is not doing it during high season. It is a pretty nice place, has been through some changes recently which should make it even better. Great beach, good location, pool, good restaurant & bar. Rooms are fairly small but clean & adequate, with variety of bedding. All have balcony or verandah with good views. I've sent plenty of satisfied customers there over the years.

Barbara, when last I was there, the day trippers were tripping all over themselves at Tropica. Maybe you would like to confirm that they are no longer taking day trippers?

I agree SS - same timeframe that I was there. Truly amazing to sit up on my balcony at BB and see how many people they could pack into those boats! eek

Just repeating what I heard from the owner. You know, it is being managed by Banyan Bay now and the new manager has said "no cruise trippers in the high season." That is all I know.

Confirmed by the owner of Tropica Beach that the cruise trippers end their visit to the property Dec 19 and will not be there during high season.
