I heard of some people using bonefish for bait for barracuda when we were down last week. Is it "legal" to use bonefish for bait in Belize? Just wondering if this was common practice or an isolated incident.

V-lover: My impression is that it's a common technique but not necessarily practiced regularly. It's tough to completely avoid a deeply hooked bonefish during a day. My experience is that guides will offer to harness and troll the fish back at the end of the day. The cuda get 'em one way or the other.
