I will be going to AC Dec 18-23. I am researching where to stay and I AM SO Confused!!!!!!!
We only need 1 bedroom.....and would like to stay around the $150-$250(per night) price range.
The Palms? Coconuts? Exotic? Blue Tang? Belizean Reef?Bananas??? Anywhere???? Would like to be close to town but are not party people. Somewhere we can relax yet be close to restuarants. NOT noisey.......
PLEASE, any advise would help.
Thank You so much for your time,
Anna

Anna!
We have stayed at the Blue Tang and loved it. Close to restuarants and close to town. Reasonable rates and for as little as we stay in our rooms, perfect for us. Nice little pool. And great people there but the people are great everywhere.
We are staying there again when we go back in Jan 05. The Blue Tang has a nice area to sit and read also and, the third floor area where the tables are, is beautiful. Spent many hours admiring the view.
Did not have any noise problems when we stayed there Jan 04.
But no matter where you stay, you will have a nice time.
Live your dreams, it is 5 oclock somewhere!!!

Anna,
We just stayed at the Aqua Marina Suites. Right in town on the beach. Has great views of the reef and pool area. One of the newest buildings and has bar at edge of property and beach. It is just south of Blue Tang and close to what you asked about. It has kitchen and all you need if you want to eat in. Grocery stores close by also. Rent a golf cart and go exploring you can park it outside hotel, they have security all night. Have Fun!

Hi Anna: I have stayed at the Exotic Caye Beach Resort (www.belizeisfun.com). It is a 10 minute walk into town (if that), it has a beach bar, nice large beach area, above ground swimming pool, restaurant on site, and a new dive shop that just went in. Don and Carol, the managers, are very accommodating.

Kat, aka Tuki Tuki also rents out her 1 bedroom condo at the Exotic Caye and the price is very reasonable. Much less than what you quoted above. If you book through her, then you'll have extra money for all the fun things. You can contact Kat at [email protected].

If you have any questions at all, please let me know. I can be reached off this message board at [email protected].

Take care!

I stayed at Blue Tang last week and it was great. Pool was OK but pretty. Nice landscaping and great 24 hr security. Get one of the ocean fronts and you'll have a private balcony with hammock and chairs, I spent most middays laying in the hammock, reading and stuffing myself with mangos and papaya and other fruits I never heard of. Other neat things are markets 1 block away and heading south theres a really nice walk on the beach down to the ferry crossing. Beach directly in front of the hotel is a little thin and gets a good bit of foot traffic but the area to the south is some of the best I saw. Wet Willys bar is right in front but I didnt hear much, even on ladies night when it was packed.

Victoria House without a doubt.

There is only one cure for baldness. It was invented by a Frenchman. It is called the guillotine.
