Hello all,
We will be coming out for my daughter's wedding in December 2006 - I know of the two photographers that are listed (Kay Scott and Roy of Belicolor) but wanted to check... are there only those two?
Wanted to make sure I had all the options before making a decision.

... off to search the board for music choices now...

Thanks!
Robin

Best photographer (in my opinion) on the island is... well... not on the island anymore. Joe Miller takes truly fantastic pics (both above and below water.) He's responsible for some of the more spectacular pics on this site and of Belize. If you want to really capture some special moments/scenes, convince him to trek back to Ambergirs when your event is going on (he's in TX now.) Marty I'm sure can get you his contact info...

Hi cokelush,
I like to fancy myself a photographer. The majority of my work is underwater, but I also dabble in product photography, sports, portrature and travel/landscape work. If I'm on island during that time frame I'll help the pros in any way that I can, for free. Let me know.

Kay Scott is good and the one most people use. Nice lady.

Kay Scott is a very good photographer... she makes original pictures and is very sweet to work with.

I also like to recommend "Dave Clements"
For more information about him, please visit his slideshow:

He has been doing several weddings here in Belize.

Thanks guys. I'm actually a photographer but I really don't want to shoot my own daughter's wedding. lol.

I'm concerned about the full sun and all that. We will be at Victoria House around 08 December '06.

We were going to bring a photog with us... but it doesn't look like the budget is going to allow that unfortunately.

Thanks, I'll check these out!

cokelush,
why wouldn't you shoot your daughter's wedding? I mean, the worst thing about shooting weddings is having the mother of the bride breathing down your neck, and you'd be immune from that. Just kidding, of course.

LOL Dan. Yeh, that is a large reason why I don't shoot weddings in real life either. smile

I don't want to shoot my daughter's wedding b/c I just want to hang and enjoy it and not have to "work".
I may end up doing it anyways... I realize how very important these pics will be but our budget isn't huge and is dwindling by the day it seems. Isn't that the way it usually works. lol.

Dan will you be on the island on 08 Dec??

Regarding shooting photos at your daughter's wedding... One option (although, admittedly, you'd not get super high quality photos) is to hand out single-use cameras, and request that people take a lot of pictures, and then leave them in a provided basket before they leave. If the ID the camera somehow, you could send a set of pix to them later, or if it's digital, make a CD of theirs or ALL of the photos to mail out. You would end up getting quite a lot of great photos, and the perspectives could be a lot of fun!

cheers,
Cavalier
