Good essay question...when do we get our grades?

I vacationed in Belize last month. Spent some time inland at Hopkins & Placencia, the majority of my time on AC. I've been vacationing in Belize for 6 years. Depends entirely on what you want out of your vacation. Both areas have beautiful beaches & clear water. I think the water/beach time is equal, great snorkeling either place. There's just a ton more to do on AC.

.......and Hopkins retains the feel and appearance of a Garifuna fishing village. Though it won't look that way for long. The condos are coming. The culture differences between AC and Hopkins are pretty large because of the peoples' origins. But lots of low-key yet fun stuff to do in Hopkins because of its location on the mainland, adjacent to one of the major highways. You get a taste of beach life in a jungle setting.

oh yeah, the jungle. Take a lot of bug repellent, and reapply often.
