The San Pedro Town Library Committee would like to thank the local community, individuals, businesses and organisations for their generous support. The San Pedro Town Library only receives government assistance for salaries and basic amenities. The books, computers, teaching resources and materials as well as any improvements made to the facilities exist purely because of the kind donations that the library receives through fundraising and practical donations.

The Committee extends its gratitude widely throughout the Belizean community as its recent and very successful Radiothon was not only supported by residents of San Pedro but also by well respected individuals from the mainland, who understand and value the importance of a public library. At this event, $12,000 was raised and this will help pay for an improved reference section as well as improving facilities for tutoring and literacy projects.

We hope that everyone takes the time to come and visit us at the San Pedro Town Library to see what a wonderful job is being done there. We have a library to be proud of and it can only become a better asset to the children and adults of the community with your support.

With thanks,

Sr. Librarian and San Pedro Town Library Committee
