I have a question about Wi-Fi but I haven't found a solid answer. My husband needs to use his work computer to get a few work related things done while on Ambergris Caye. The internet cafe doesn't work for him because he needs to use his computer not just a cafe terminal.

Can anyone recommend a place that has Wi-Fi on AC? Some people said Fido's but Fido's said they don't have Wi-Fi or a place to plug in with a hard wire. Also, read Estelle's but my husband couldn't find it - is it still in business? If yes, do they have Wi-Fi?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Most hotels do this now for their guest its quite common.
Las Terrazas guest sit around the pool and restaurant on line with WiFi and i'm sure they are not the only hotel with this service.

My husband is staying at the Mayan Princess and they don't have Wi-Fi or a place for him to plug in his computer. They only have a terminal that customers can use.

So he's trying to find a public place that he can either pay to plug in his computer or use Wi-Fi. I don't think hotels would be happy with him using their pool area and Wi-Fi if he's not staying there.

Tell him to take his laptop to La Playa (it's right on the beach by the water taxi dock). Sit at the bar and order a Belikin & ask for their password. I did this alot on my last visit.

D - Sea right next door to Mayan Princess on the beach has wifi and a nice deck and chairs to sit on and work while enjoying a cold one or a coffee. It seems very popular wifi spot with lots of locals.

Must warn you tho"...the bartenders are very friendly... especially Javier smile

I stopped in one afternoon for a quick beer and the next thing I knew he & I had been sitting at the bar, talking for over an hour.

Great bunch of guys.

I really liked going there because it was about a 90 second walk from my hotel (Ruby's).

Is D - Sea realatively new? I was on the island at the end of August and do not remember seeing this place...

D Sea was open in August

Here are day and night pics of the place. They had a great wine tasting night in Sept and it was packed.

ok, now that I know exactly where it is, I know why I don't remember seeing it. Didn't venture any further north than the Central Park. Most of my excursions on my last visit took me south of town...

Thanks for the info.
