We found meal prices to vary widely. We weren't into fancy, but hit a number of the resorts and recommended restaurants. Nothing fabulous, but all was good.
We ate the barbque chicken dinner at the Lions Club (Friday & Saturday nites only) outside right in the heart of town for $3.75 US. The beach barbque at a nearby hotel on Wednesday nites was about $8-10 US.
We had a burrito lunch at Ramons, overlooking the pool for $8 US, $2 for lemonade that waiter recommended, and $1 for the ice tea we had requested.
Captain Morgan's had good meal prices, for a resort setting.
You might look at Paradise Villa condos for nice modern place to stay; with pool area for you & your friends to gather.
Contact Nellie Gomez, manager, at Paradise Villas. It was in town, but quiet.
Nellie can get you a case of beer or soft drinks from the local beverage distributor (located just South of the airport).
Enjoy!
