I was looking into the trip to Lamanai with Tanisha Tours, but they have a 6 person minimum. There will just be two of us, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a similar tour that didn't have this restriction. We don't mind riding with strangers on the tour (we even kinda prefer it), but are worried that we might not be able to find others who want to go when we do. Is this typically a problem for couples, or do the tour companies have a system for filling up their boats, thus eliminating this dilemma? Any info would be helpful. Thank you! [Linked Image]

I wouldn't worry about it. The trips seem to fill up. Depending on the month your going they will fill up fast or may take longer. We had no problems on any tours and that was right after the hurricane last year.

Book and enjoy. It's a good trip!

all the guides that go to lamanai have a 'minimum', but they go a day or two later when there are enough folks.

they just can't buy all that gas for two people in their boats...

so stay in touch with them, if one day is cancelled, there will be another very soon! And almost always there are enough folks for the tours to go...

Thank you for the feedback. We will be in AC mid November, and really want to tour Lamanai with Tanisha(we have heard so much praise about Daniel). Just hope filling the boat isn't a problem for them in November. Is it best to book in advance, or wait until you are in AC to schedule tours?

I had no problem on a recent tour with Tanisha to Lamanai. Simply went to their office in town, booked the trip and paid for it. The boat was full, no problem. I had problem booking with my hotel for some reason, so I just went right to the source. Just ask anyone and they will point you where you need to go.
