weve stayed in condo's before and like having a kitchen and a more exclusive atmosphere, we've been browzing the web and reading this message board we think weve narrowed it down to the palms or caribbean villas. they both look nice and with not too many units, we want a pool. the biggest factor in our decision is going to be ease of dive from the location, I read someone used ramons dive while at the palms and amigo del mar dive while at the carribean villas. what we like in a dive operation is a nice boat and friendly staff with personal attention, we dont dive that often but have been certiftied since 1990 and dove 3 days last year in Cabo, we don't want to get lost in a shuffle with a big crowd.
we also like boats with good exit and re entry for convience in diving.

Don't worry about 'ease of dive'. The dive masters will pick you up at your dock. Just find the hotel you like, pick the dive people you are attracted to, and take it from there. You'll be fine. Have a super trip!

Just so, Marty. I travel indepentent, so can't really speak to the issue of dive masters, but once last year when Sylvin Forman couldn't take us, he hooked us up with Rudy at Bottom Time. Nice, small operation, good boat, and a great ladder to climb up on (I love my Sylvin, but he has a gawdawful ladder, as I've yapped at him many times - he's not going to change it). But, Bottom time gives you a smaller boat, and a good ratio of divers to dive masters...like 4 or so divers, except on a busy day, to one dive master. It works for me.
