I am bringing my dog next time. If you have brought your dog to AC would appreciate if you could give me the proceedure and any pointers. Molly is 7 pounds so will come in the cabin with us in a little carry on. Thanks, Pam

To bring a pet to Belize you need to contact BAHA (Belize Animal Health Authority)and get an import permit plus whatever else they require. Usually they want a health certificate issued within 48 hours of traveling...but their requirements vary -so you need to ask them! Start with plenty
of time!

Lotus, you have learned about the weather, now you have more to learn about the dogs on Ambergris. If you are a dog lover, you will find at least one dog on AC to fall in love with, and look forward every day to seeing said dog.

Lotusflames you may prefer to vacation in Tiajuana where they have daily cockfighting. The island dogs rarely have physical skirmishes because it is not The Way of island living.

My dog is very wild and totally unmanageable-comes home when she wants-goes off whenever- gets into huge doggy arguements with the roving packs of wild dogs-surprisingly enough, she is just a little worse for wear but she seems to enjoy the life style.
Before anyone critisises me, I did try sending her to behaviourial college but she flatly refused to go.

So your dog has some cajones - yeehaw! Although I may from time to time be feeble minded, I have never before been accused of being politically correct. I'll take it as a compliment seeing as how I'm some kind of correct for a change.

I do have my first-hand experiences with and opinions about SP like lots of other peeps. Take it or leave it, no need to flame.

LotusF you've been unnecessarily rude to lots of people here and have show very little sense of humor. When you post here, you are subject to all of our potential opinions and remarks, so get over it. And Tiajuana is no seedier than your beantown dude. If you do chose SP I hope you enjoy everything about it that many of us do.

Indy;

Keep your dog on a leash whenever she's outside and watch out for speeding vehicles (one particular taxi driver is well known for actually AIMING at animals on the road).
