Although some restaurants do serve lobster through the closed season (the list for this year is not known yet).

This just breaks my heart knowing I will be there just before it starts again. Can anyone confirm whether or not we can get lobster somehow, someway in May????

blemke02,

We were there last year the week of June 22nd ~ June 29th and lobster season was open. I suspect it should be near that same time frame. It's like mid-June'ish is when it opens.
My husband went lobster diving. We had 7 absolutely fabulous lobsters that we bbq'd on the beach.

How do we get the list of restaurants that serve Lobster in off season - I realize this is a fairly new thing.

I just returned from AC and was wondering the same thing. Our hotel staff was able to give us the answers. The only one I could remember serving lobster all year around is Victoria House. Seemed like a big issue first day we were there, but as we ate all the good food there at all the different places, kind of forgot about lobster...... Check with your hotel staff if you are staying at a hotel......

How would Victoria House have lobster to sell year round? Frozen or poached?

Some restaurants pay a premium during the off lobster season enabling them to sell during that time. Frozen.

Just read a story on the Drudgereport.com, about a new process of sub-freezing the little criters and then bringing them back to life. Belize it or not. Belize it.
