Next week I am making my 5th trip to San Pedro in about 20 months: but I just go for the fishing on the flats. This trip daughter/son-in -law are comming and I want to send them on a day trip inland to see the ruins, monkeys, jungle, etc. They are a bit nervous about safety, etc. Could anyone shed some lignt on this that I can pass on? Many thanks and I'll see you in San Pedro next Thrusday.

Send them with Daniel Nunez, Tanisha Tours. He's tops in my book - very eco-oriented, a great naturalist and extremely safety oriented.

But then, anyone whom you book with is conscious of safety as well.

Daniel's website is:

Common sense. Lamania is a must! Either Tanisha Tours or Seaduced. Bug spray, ear protection or you will become a wind tunnel experiment run amuck, stay on the trails or risk being bitten by a fer de lance, and don't forget to ask, what happens when the Mayan calendar expires in 2012!
