If an 11 year old kid slinked up your street, and alternately hid behind fences or a vacant lot, blowing an almost imperceptible dog whistle; what would you think?
Our dogs went bersek this evening, and wouldn't be quieted down, until I saw the kid, and heard the whistle. I told him I'm watching him, and he ran away!
Was he just being a mischievous kid, or casing houses with dogs for one reason, or casing houses with dogs to harm the dogs...and eventually the same reason?
By the way haters, I'm not gone. Please feel free to make an offer on the house.

Walk outside with your cell phone and a ball bat and loudly (into the phone) describe their location, description and which way they are headed. They'll think the cops are on the way.

Worked for me last night with kids that were blowing off M-80's in the neighbourhood - all quiet tonight...

Thanks, Simon, one of the good guys. We do that too, and take pictures with our cell phones. When the watch dog isn't distracted by the firecrackers, I've heard from neighbors, they shine flashlights into the street when they hear her, and people go running away!
Good dog!

Dog whistles are not common here, kids get ahold of them and then want to go where they can use them. If they are yougsters, older kids mabe not. This may or may not be the case. Gwen seems you have had some hard times, so sorry.
