It was a great day for homosexuals in Britain. This morning Queen Elizabeth II gave her approving stamp on a bill, which was first proposed by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron, to legalize same sex unions in England and Wales. This law will allow homosexuals to wed in both civil and religious ceremonies. The law is also written in such a way that it allowed the Church of England to side step any controversies- however, they remain steadfast in their opposition. Nevertheless, the bill is expected to go into effect in mid 2014.

Does a person have to be homosexual to marry a same-sex partner?
Does marriage require sexual intercourse?

Being a big fan of the TV series Boston Legal, I watched this question being raised and argued in court (by William Shattner who is BRILLIANT as Denny Crane) - I found it a most interesting wrinkle in the overall debate.

It most often starts with sex being involved. But then one gets persistant headaches. grin
