I am interested in purchasing a case of One Barrel. Any businesses down there that will ship to the states? Thanks! (my 9 bottles from last year are gone and no trips to Belize in the near future)

Dan,

Any retailers in the Kansas city area (Kansas or Missouri) carry One Barrel?

Just take some 160 proof grain alcohol and mix it equally with maple syrup. Bingo. Barrel One

Auwwww, have a heart. be creative 'distilled from Belizean grown sugar cane by Mayans in Orangewalk. One Barrel is a very aromatic rum with lots of flavor. It's "nose" has been described as "floral" specifically reminicent of hibiscus and papaya fruit. Tasted straight, One Barrel is quite smooth without a "bite" to it. You can taste the memory of the molasses that was used to make the rum. The molasses flavor isn't overpowering, but it's there in the background. This makes the rum mix well with juices and Colas, which are the most common mixers for rum drinks. The hint of molassas seems to "complete" the flavor of the mixers, actually improving the taste when compared to the mixer alone. People who taste One Barrel rum usually end up being One Barrel drinkers, even if they hated rum before they tried this one.
and its only 40 proof.

&nbsp elbert,
actually, One Barrel is 80 proof. The coconut rum is less if I remember correctly, something like 60 proof. Are you thinking about alcohol percentage? 80 proof=40%

So my formula for One Barrel is correct. 160 proof grain cut in half with maple syrup equals 80 proof One Barrel.

Ubbit,

I think I'll let you keep your recipe.... I personally enjoy One Barrel enough that I pick up a couple of bottles every time I make it up to Las Vegas, NV. Lee's Discount Liquers on Sunset keeps it in stock most of the time.
