From Belmopan...
Interesting things this morning. Significant thick overcast clouds over Belmopan, but with the occasional thin patch.
If you look carefully, you can see the sea off Belize, that is typically, clear sky, is this morning covered by Haze.
Is that thin cloud haze or is it smoke haze. ?
There was a line of high level cloud moving from the NW which you can see on the right hand picture.
This was encouraging the land cloud to form over the Mexico, Guatamala, Belize border as seen in the left picture.
It does appear that at night time, there is typically a movement of air from the west, like or perhaps the "Tiger" wind which results in cloud over northern Belize these last few mornings, that curved line of Caribbean cloud out at sea in the mornings and the lack of any wind on the ground in the early morning.
Perhaps that westerly air has been bring smoke from Guatamala over Belize over night, hence that Haze over the sea at present.
I expect the cloud to thin this morning and for there to be mainly a sunny day, but still with the Haze, no rain.
Temperatures in Belmopan:
Today is probably going to be fairly similar as yesterday :
