On Ambergris Caye this morning after a night of thunder and lightning the sky has cleared and sea calmed for the beginning of a sunny day. We have a cool breeze from the West placing the dive sites in the lee of the island. Our expected high is 89.

From Belmopan...

Strong WSW winds this morning, the higher level air is coming down from the States with a significant cold front that will be having some effect on our weather , apart from the strong NWN winds. That Hurricane Joaquin does appear to now be moving northwards. A line of cloud was pushed over Belize with rain, from the NW.

Looks like today will be fairly sunny, but with significant cloud from the west, there could be the odd shower from this.

Temperatures in Belmopan:
Today is probably going to be Cooler, to yesterday : Thu, max 33°C 91°F Last night min 25°C 76°F ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )

That Cold front is right on our door step. . . . . We had some effects earlier today, or last night, but the main effects are a build up of cloud and significant rain as the larger effect comes in. Actually that cloud line is breaking up as it comes into Belize, so possible not too much rain. Other parts have now crossed over Jamaica, forcing the Caribbean air up above it.
