Improving conditions expected after the pasage of a tropical wave during Saturday. Partly cloudy tonight and sunny with cloudy spells tomorrow. Except for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms in the south tonight and inland tomorrow afternoon, showers will be generally isolated. Winds: East - southeast 10-20 knots. On Ambergris Caye this morning the breeze is ESE at 3 mph and our expected high is 89. The sea is calm and it looks like a sunny day ahead.

From Belmopan...

There is a large, significant rotating clouds in the western Caribbean, much larger and more significant than that TS Colin, but it is unlikely to result in much rain and probably not effect the US, so they are not naming it. It may well move over Belize in the next few days. It was partly responsible for the rain early this morning. That rain started off over PG then its development moved north over Belize City and now the rain is over Corozal. That is the direction of rain production, not the direction of the wind causing it, which is from the NE, part of that large rotating air mass. By the way, I have measured the wind speed on the west side of that circulating air mass, at 40 mph That puts it above their Invest and Depression and actually categorises it as a Tropical Storm. I have been measuring its speed several times. So why have they not marked it or given it a name. ? Presumably because it is not a threat to the USA. Actually the wind speed I have measured it upper cloud speed and not surface winds.

Looks like today will be a mixture of sun and cloud after the rain has moved away up north, there could be some rain later this afternoon or evening.

The light Blue arrow is surface wind, the White arrow is normal cloud height, the Yellow is higher cloud or significant weather, the Orange arrow is high level cloud movement, red arrows are Storm movements. The dark Blue arrow is Rain movement direction.
