From Belmopan...
Heavy but bright Overcast cloud over Belmopan this morning. . . .No surface wind. .. .. .Overnight I recorded 35mm ( 1" ) rain.
There were significant clashes with the cool Caribbean air that was coming down from the NE, and the high level Pacific winds from the SW. ..This cause considerable rain in parts of central and northern Belize over night. . . . ..But it looks as if that clash has eased off and far less rain now.. . ..NOAA have been showing cold fronts, but only way up in the States. . . .So it looks as if that blast of cold air yesterday and odd direction Caribbean winds have now gone. .. .So more stable weather today.
Looks like the cloud in central and northern Belize should be thinning to give a fair amount of sun by this afternoon, I hope, probably only small amounts of rain today. . .
Southern Belize appears to have less cloud and possible some sun now, but there are large patches of serious cloud around and coming towards Belize, one approaching southern Belize right now, so could be rain in the south later today.
