Belize Weather Forecast: February 27, 2016

General Situation:
Belize NMS: A cool and marginally moist north to northeasterly airflow prevails. Relatively cool and slightly moist conditions expected during the next few days.
Advisories: *Small Craft Warning in effect for gusty winds and rough seas.*
24-hour forecast: Mostly cloudy and cool with light showers or light rain mainly over the sea and along southern coastal areas.
Winds: North - northeast 10-20 knots with occasional higher gusts.
Marine Forecast:
Today: Winds: N-NE 10-20 kts with occasional higher gusts.; seas: Moderate - locally rough.; waves: 4-7 ft.; light showers or light rain mainly south.
Tomorrow: Winds: NE 10-20 kts.; seas: Moderate.; waves: 4-6 ft.; a few light showers mainly south.
Marine Outlook: Sunday night:- Winds: E-NE 5-15 kts.; seas: Choppy - moderate.; waves: 3-5 ft.; a few light showers mainly south.

General Outlook: For Sunday and Sunday night is for cloudy skies with a few light showers mainly over the south.
Tropical Weather Outlook: Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea or Gulf of Mexico.

Caribbean Forecast: A stationary front will stretch southwestward over the western Pacific, the Greater Antilles and Central America on Sunday. This frontal system will generate periods of moderate rain across Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, western Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, northern Honduras and Belize. San Josecito, Costa Rica, will have a chance of morning showers with a high of 77(F)/ 25(C). Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, can expect afternoon and evening showers with a high of 82(F)/ 27(C). Most of Mexico will stay clear of wet weather on Sunday, with the exception to isolated showers over the northeastern corner of the country. Mexico City, Mexico, will be partly cloudy with a high of 73(F)/ 22(C).

OP Marty	From Belmopan... The cool air bubble is still over Belize. The Caribbean air is being pushed southwards, but there is a movement of cloud from the SSW over Belize, the high level WSW having little effect. There is a very little, light rain showers just of the southern coast. I expect today will be fairly similar to yesterday, getting brighter later and thinner cloud, some sun, probably little or no rain. Temperatures in Belmopan: Today is probably going to be Similar, to yesterday : Fri, max. 26°C 80°F Last night min. 20°C 68°F ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
