From Belmopan...
This so called Tropical Storm or to be more correct only INVEST 93L is odd. It does not appear to actually exist. It looks rather like a figment of the met peoples minds, or a training exercise. The odd thing about it is they are using it as an excuse for heavy rains over Florida in a couple of days time. What I am noticing though, is a ring of cloud and rain, more or less where I have shown the yellow ring. That was the rain that crossed over Belize yesterday morning. If you draw a ring, then there is a centre to that ring, perhaps that is what the weather people are suggesting INVEST 93L is. We will see.
As you can see, there is no cloud where they show the "L"
There is a large area of ITCZ or Monsoon cloud and wet area swinging up from near Panama, over Jamaica, towards Cuba. As I mentioned yesterday, this is a sort of spread out line, I can not see how they can call them Tropical Waves, perhaps imagination. What ever, that is not too near to Belize at present, and has not really come any closer to Belize since yesterday morning, so it is not going to start our Rainy season today. In theory it could in the next few days, but too soon to be sure.
Today is still looking rather like the last few days, but with less chance of rain than yesterday. Tonight rain. ?
