Greetings!

On April 8th, my nephew and I land in BZE and will be going to Ian Anderson's Lodge for 3 nights (then to Ambergris Caye -- YEAH!). We arrive at 12:45pm, hopefully, and think we might want to stop for lunch somewhere along the way. I did a search for San Ignacio restaurants, but only found some outdated posts, and since it's 80 miles from airport to San Ig, it might be dinnertime before we get to Caves Branch ... and a 16yo boy is always hungry.

Can anyone suggest another town &/or restaurants midway along the "highway"?

Cheers or Amigos on the Western hywy. Belize R Us not far from the Intl, in Burrel Boom along the river. San Ignacio is not en route to CB.

I second Cheers along the way. Great hamburgers for the boy and Belizean food for the rest if you are ambitious

Hiya, again! Yes, I just learned last night from looking again at a map that San Ignacio isn't on the way to Caves Branch. Is Belmopan? We're glad to have your suggestions.

Belmopan is not "exactly" on the way but not far out of it. I would still go to Cheers though.
