“Buses and travelling vehicles on the Southern Highway this week were among those who made the historical crossing over the new Kendal Bridge which expands some 90 meter across the city river. At the new Kendal Bridge work cite, assistant project manager Ricky Dawson confirmed that the new steel trust bridge rest solidly on two fortified abutments constructed on both sides of the river and with the new bridge in use work is well on the way with the dismantling of the temporary wooden crossing which is no longer in use and is now only a part of history of development leading unto the new Kendal Bridge. With an official opening ceremony of the new Kendal Bridge yet to be held the reality and use of the new Kendal Bridge is a welcome one for users on the Southern Highway. From Kendal Bridge, Paul Mahung, reporting for Love News.”
