The first of an annual Toledo Cacao Festival will be held over the Commonwealth Day holiday weekend, from Friday 18th May to Sunday 20th May. Highlights include the Festival opening by the Governor General, HE Sir Colville Young, at the wine and chocolate evening. The Taste of Toledo fair features local cookery and crafts, as well as free "cacao for kids" children's activities, and "sea Toledo" marine trips. Sunday features cacao trail tours to Toledo's chocolate country, and a firework finale with music from two of PG's great musicians - Paul Nabor and "Lee-Laa" Vernon. It would be great if this takes off as an annual event!

Barb, as soon as the Government decides which May weekend the 2008 Commonwealth Day holiday will be, we'll be announcing the dates for CacaoFest 2008 - I think it's usually some time in August that they set the holidays for the following year.

Lots of good, useful feedback from this year's Fest already, as well as lots of offers of help from new volunteers.
