For anyone able to fly out of Charlotte this is a very good fare. AA taking shots across US's bow. Availability all the way through July at this time. Bookable on all major sites.
Happy Tails.
Make me want to move to Charlotte to go to Belize for cheap
You can still fly out of Houston on TACA for $272 total, round trip!
E: Booked TACA for a trip out of Houston in two weeks at the low rate; however, for a trip right after Thanksgiving it has gone up to over $ 500. This happened in just the last week! Thought the price of fuel was going down. Will keep checking.
Price of fuel down, profit up..... go figure. I bought mine for Jan. It will probably come down again before the New Year. Ya never know
Where are you getting the $272 for Taca out of IAH? I checked yesterday, and it was $358 in all ($267 plus taxes). I saw (and booked) that fare in July on American Express, but now some friends want to join us in November. Thanks.

Slim pickings on the Taca $272 fare now. I think your $378 is a very good price.
I booked and paid for the $272 incl all taxs about 2 weeks ago. Musta jest got in under the wire. $378 is still good.
$378 is a very good price from IAH. Unfortunately, now, when you add in the price from Illinois to Houston, you're over $600.
Way to get in at the last minute, immissing!
I'll keep trying...
When the thread for that TACA fare in IAH through AMex was posted in August I booked a trip in march for the 272pp after already paying 400pp to fly american out of DFW for our trip in Oct. Timing is everything they say....
...but chance favours the prepared mind...
Purchased in mid September: Oakland, CA - BZE $448 RT ($542 w/taxes) on Continental. We will be in the air on New Year's Eve. through Jan. 16th.
Same flights, same times are now over $100 more per person. It pays to keep watching airfares via the internet on a daily basis as soon as you know when you want to travel. Fares can change hourly. The $448 RT fare was $600+ in the morning, by late afternoon, it had dropped. Ya never know. Just be quick and book it when you see a good deal. Happy travels to all.
Sure you did Pam, PROVE IT!
I knew it would drop but was desperate...but what the hell...I will be there tomorrow. WOOHOO!!!
See ya Wed Pescadora magnifica.
Wish ya all could be there!
Now, I really need to go pack.
2MILES / OK, do you have a fax number? Your comment was rude. Why be so mean?
Yea, OK Professor Pam, Or is it Bookkeeper Pam, Uh I mean Lawyer, No Attorney, Um I forgot whom I am today Pam.
I'd rather be rude than pretend to be someone that I am not Pam. I have a fax # But I don't know which one of you to send it to
just tell the truth Pam, What do you really do anyway? However, Beware someone my actually check your credentials,
But you already know that, Right?
Whoops I almost forgot "Veterinarian PAM". My bad
This just in: Oakland Ca. to Bze ($516 w.tax) Sorry ya bought in too soon Pammy
It is because of people like you that many are reluctant to post on this informative message board or eventually end up changing their screen name. I refuse to do either.
Unlike you, I do not have suitcases of money to bring to the island, but my love for this paradise will never be dampened by a few mean spirited visitors.

On the phone with AA right now, getting a price of $744.00 including taxes. Dayton to Belize City, gal said she knew nothing about a sale??
pam, As the song (And the CSI show)asks, "WHO ARE YOU I REALLY WANT TO KNOW" Who are you? And I really don't have suitcases full of money, (I left it all in San Pedro where it is safe)
Tell us what you do! FYI, I posted accurate flight prices for anyone looking to fly from Oakland CA.
I'm happily retired and very tired of you. I'm sure anyone looking to fly from Oakland, CA will find your posting of "accurate flight prices" invaluable. Good Night.
I will be traveling from Sacramento to Belize and paid almost the same fare as Pam, departing on Thanksgiving. It is the usual fare on AA. Still, a fairly good deal, although I have paid less - and I have paid more.
Last year, I was fooling around on the computer and found RT fare from Sacramento to Costa Rica for $318, including tax, on America West. Couldn't pass that one up!
Too bad the fare doesnt work in the other direction! BZE- US
Continental-San Diego to Houston, Taca to Belize, one way $650.90
Geez Deacon. Get a friend to take you to LAX, or take AMTRAK - TACA one way LAX to BZE $498.
Deac, unless Im mistaken, you can not travel to belize with a one way ticket. Do you have a return ticket?
I was told by the airlines that an open end return ticket was no longer avaiable and that a one way ticket was fine.
Better check again. They may have changed the rule, as the GOB regs in the past, require a return ticket.
Perhaps you should check with the authorities in Belize, rather than the airline. Much more assurance of a correct answer.
Go for it! If they ask, tell them you're leaving on a sailboat.
Why dont you stuff a sock (or something) in it.
Don't set yourself up for failure Deacon. Listen to what the others are telling you. Contact the BZ government and make sure you have all in order. A clerk at an airline is not the best choice of counsel in these regards.
Deacon, I heard the same thing one-way tickets can be a problem with the G.O.B., Do yourself a favor and contact them, Because I won't feel like flying over to Belize City to bale your ass out while I'm on vacation.
I'll be sittin behind that Belikin OR Rum Punch waitin for ya!
Gringo, what's your problem? Jokes and kidding around are fine, but these mean-spirited replys really don't belong here.
Deacon, definitely check w/ Belize gov.
Kudo's to you man, wish I were there now!
Thankyou all. I contacted the Belize Embassy And I Quote"the US government does not want it's citizens to move to Belize". So I am buying a round trip ticket via Houston. Thankyou again, Belizean jail would not be good for me.
I really hesitate to say this but Im gonna anyway. Its not the US Govt., The GOB wants to be certain that you have enough cash/return ticket/way out for the sole purpose that they want have to support you or in the event they want to deport you, they can.
2MILE, since I saved you bail money, 1st drink is on you.
Jay,how's that watch croc of yours doing? Have you feed him a clock yet?
Somebody got into the one barrel bottle :p
Hey Deac, what day are you scheduled to fly out?
2MILE, no rum, just thought of the old Peter Pan story.
