Descending the rebar-ladder into the tiny hole in the ground was just a small part of The Day That Blew My Mind. It was the opening of an ancient mayan cave, completely untouched for thousands of years. The owner of the cave, Bol, received his land as part of his birthright and discovered an amazing cave with incredible pottery, human remains, and a real mayan calendar.

How incredible, I heard about this new site a few yrs back. Speculation was it was going to be regained by the Government as a Mayan Site, good for him if he was and is able to keep it private. Hopefully he respects it more than the Government will. I have met a few students that have been to the site as guest.
