I need to get from Belize City to San Pedro via boat. I don't want to use the water taxi. There schedule is not convienent to my travel schedule. Any suggestions. Any charters or fishermen that will take me.

You can probably find someone to take you, but a) it will cost you a lot and b) you don't know who will be taking you or how reliable or honest they are. To put it mildly, not everyone in Belize City is an upstanding citizen.

I'd suggest that if you can't live with the water taxi schedules that you fly.

You must have a lot of baggage or goods to bring down if you need a boat so badly. I agree with Lan, you better know the turf before trying to charter out of Disese City. It can be rough around town there, especially for new gringos. Tropic is very cool about freight. It may not all come at once, but it will get there. They have a freight office right at the air strip and they stay open fairly late. I shipped a christmas tree from Pine Ridge and it got there more or less in tacked. Hope this helps
