Colossal Crustacean Caught in Caye Caulker
Caye Caulker Village, Sunday, October 7, 2007 - A young Caye Caulker resident is pictured holding on to a huge monster lobster caught on the island Sunday afternoon, October 7th.
The behemoth lobster was caught underneath a pile of rubble which was at one time the old seawall at the popular tourist hangout, the Split.
Harry Dole, manager of the Lazy Lizard Bar located at the Split commented that this mother of all lobsters weighed in at over 6 pounds. He believed it to be one of the biggest crustaceans nabbed in Caulker for many a moon.
The lobster can easily feed three hungry adults- now that's a lot of tail.
