And while that matter continues to be a source of disagreement in the Price family, for the general public who want to view the coffin or the procession - here's how you can do it.
First, the route for the city procession has been announced.

At 7:30 On Saturday morning, the body will be transported from the KHMH morgue in a procession led by the BDF through the streets of Belize City to the Bliss Center where it will lie in state from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The route will be almost the same as the procession for Sir Barry and it is as follows: From St. Thomas Street, LEFT into Freetown Road, RIGHT into Mapp Street, LEFT into North Front Street, RIGHT over Swing Bridge, into Albert Street, LEFT into Treasury Lane and into the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts.

Mourners are expected to come from across the country to pay their respects at the Bliss Center.

At 3:30 the body will be taken to the Holy Redeemer Cathedral where a private mass will be held by the family of the late Rt. Hon. George Price to celebrate his life. It is officially said to be private but we understand it will be more than that, as PUP supporters are expected to attend.

After that service it will be taken to Belmopan and there will be another chance to see the body pass. The body will go form the Holy Redeemer Cathedral LEFT on to Queen Street - where it will pause in front of Independence Hall, Left into New Road, Left into Hydes Lane, Left on to North Front Street, RIGHT over Swing Bridge, Albert Street, RIGHT into Orange Street, Cemetery Road, Central American Blvd Roundabout, Western Highway, LEFT into the Hummingbird Highway, Left into Constitution Drive, RIGHT onto Culvert Road, on to Ring Road, RIGHT into Price Center Road and RIGHT into the George Price Center for Peace and Development.

And then for those in Belmopan, On Sunday 25th September the body will lie in state from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the George Price Center.

Procession route for Price established

George Price

As the nation mourns the death of the Rt. Hon. George Price, his final resting place has come under sharp debate. There are members of the family who have publicly expressed preference for the Price Centre in Belmopan, but the family plot at Lord's Ridge Cemetery has been announced as the burial site. Notwithstanding, there are details now available for the processions that will culminate with his internment. On Saturday at seven a.m., Price's body will leave the KHMH morgue in a B.D.F. led procession to the Bliss Centre where it will lie in state from eight a.m. to three p.m. News Five's Delahnie Bain has a look at the routes in Belize City and Belmopan.

Delahnie Bain, Reporting

The procession on Saturday to the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts goes from the KHMH morgue into St. Thomas Street. It then takes a left into Freetown Road, RIGHT into Mapp Street followed by another left into North Front Street. The procession moves over Swing Bridge, into Albert Street and makes a left into Treasury Lane to the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts.

At three-thirty p.m., the Right Honorable George Price's body will be transported to the Holy Redeemer Cathedral where a mass will be held by the family to celebrate his life. For that reason, at two p.m. on Saturday, the area of North Front between Hyde's Lane Queen Street, will be closed to vehicular and foot traffic, until the end of the funeral service.

The body of the national hero will then be transported to Belmopan using the following route:

From the Holy Redeemer Cathedral, the procession moves into Queen Street then makes a left into New Road, followed by Hydes Lane and North Front Street. It then heads over the Swing Bridge onto Albert Street, where it makes a right into Orange Street, heading straight through Cemetery Road to the Central American Blvd Roundabout. From there, the body will be taken to Belmopan where the procession continues at Constitution Drive. It turns right onto Culvert Road, Ring Road and then into Price Center Road, ending at the George Price Center for Peace and Development.

On Sunday, Price's body will lie in state from eight a.m. to five p.m. at the Center.
