just looking to see what time sunset is around? also sunrise. Will be there April 1 and also does Belize do the daylight savings change? Lets see one more question, I have read about the mosquitoes (spelling not so good lol) Are there and are they bad? I know alot depends on the time of year. Getting hard to sleep now with less then 2 weeks!!!!

No daylight savings. No mosquitoes (or very few, it's been dry and breezy.) Right now sunrise is at 6:00am and sunset is at 6:04pm.

you can receive a daily report. Contact: [email protected], [email protected], or visit http://www.belizenet.com. I've been in SP off & on since Christmas, last time Feb, and returning in April. I find the mosquitos to be a big problem, and even worse - the sand flies.

Big difference in weather between Feb and now. I personally haven't been bitten in several weeks by mosquitoes or sand flies.

Thanks for the link, and as for the sand/mosquitos, is there a certain time that they are out? Like are they mainly out around dusk? Just wanting to know how important it is to bring repelant. Everyone is diff. some dont ever even notice them due to not getting bit, and others are like a buffet to them (like me lol) if there is one it will find me lol Also if there is any others that I should prepare for that would be helpfull to know in advance also. Thanks.

Sandflies are annoying (if they are there at all) early AM and early PM and only if there is no breeze.

If you choose to be away from the breeze and you are a magnet, they'll get cha!
I'm a magnet too. I wear long pants and socks.
I am always careful....sometimes too careful...but I don't come home with annoying bites.
Rarely does anyone sit on the sand. Use a lounge chair. Elevation away from the sandflies. (if they are there)

Mosquitos-prepare yourself as you would in any warm, damp climate. They live everywhere.

That said, let the this be the last thing to worry about. Go, enjoy and have a wonderful vacation.

Again thank you, am just trying to get prepared for the things we tend not to think about often.
That and the fact that I have had us packed for the last 2 weeks with 1 week left to go and am finding myself twiddling my thumbs in anticipation! lol I could only hope my 10 days there seems as long as the 10 days of anticipation!

We were there in February and only encountered mosquitoes when we went to the mainland for a tour of the Lamanai ruins. We sprayed with OFF (with DEET) and weren't too bothered. I could see them, but I only got one bite. I smacked a few when I saw them on other people (after getting permission!) I didn't see any insects in San Pedro.
My OFF was in an aerosol can. I had taken it with me to Belize and it made it through the visit, but then it was taken at BZE by security when our bags were checked. I will try to remember to take a pump bottle next time.
You will have a great trip. Don't let the thought of insects bug you!
