Come for a month long stay, looking for a CHEAP place to stay.
Only requirements are bed and private bath.
I would appreaciate any help.
You really need to outline your budget and what area you would like to stay in.
Budge is Cheap, details are one Bed, with a Flushable toilet. I am willing to provide the paper. LOL
Just some place to sleep at night. During the day I will be out and about.
Cheap for you might not be cheap for me. So a rough figure would help people here point you in the right direction. Also, what part of the island as each part of the caye has pros and cons but are very different. The more information you can share about your needs in terms of location, would really gain you much more assistance.
I was thinking $400 to $500 a mth. As for location doesnt matter, I have been there before and walked or biked from the north to the south. But this is the longest I will have stayed and need to funds to last.
Thanks Cord. I'm sure you'll get other suggestions but this is a great place to start
http://www.toucantrail.com/Places-to-Stay/Accommodations.html . This lists real budget accommodation in San Pedro (but not all)
Tomas Hotel is listed there and a friend stayed there recently and was very happy. You could contact them and try to get a monthly rate. Ruby's is not listed there and is another very popular budget hotel, right on the beach. Good luck!
Colly, Thank you very much for your suggestion. I am just waiting to get down there. Look forward to meeting you you have a great eye for beauty, and a quick hand to catch it.
I would agree with Colly about Ruby's. Inexpensive, right on the beach, centrally located in town. Stayed there once, will return on my next trip. Room with private bath (with fan) $25US/night.
Sounds like a great place, Thanks for the suggestions.
Can't go wrong with Ruby's. I've stayed there 3 trips out of 5! Their Johnny Cakes make a great cheap breakfast with coffee and their Cinnamon Rolls are excellent. They open at 6 a.m. for the early risers!
Thanks for the help everyone great ideas and I have a solution. See you soon.
We visited SP twice and stayed at Ruby's both times (upstairs beach side room) and will stay there the next time we come down. Which BTW was suppose to be next week but a change of plans has us on Curacao and Bonaire. Aeeeeeeeeeee it'll do. LOL
