Howdy folks,

We're looking to buy a SMALL simple wooden sailboat for sailing in and around the reef.

Nothing plastic. Looking for something Funky and seaworthy...must float right side up. We've heard that some good ones might be built in Sarteneja in Chetumal bay. Is that true?

We're planning to be in AC in mid-December.

Any suggestions?

Sorry, don't have any info about purchasing a boat, but did want to mention that I like your board name of Gilligan. It reminds me of the times when my husband used to bartend and when his customers had a few cocktails, he would ask them if anyone had ever seen the episode of Gilligan's Island when they almost got off the island and Gilligan screwed it up. All of the customers would tell him that they saw that one episode. Well, it was every episode! Anyway, brings back good times! Hope you find the boat you are looking for and don't end up like Gilligan!
