There will be 7 of us down in a couple days. We know Hidden Tresure, Black Orchid, Fidos, Palapa, the Bakery, Blue Water, the old Joe's market.....any other little gems out there for us? BC's:( Ra Safari:( We will come visit everyone.
Wild Mango's, Neri's Tacos, Estel's, Lazy Croc, Central Park, Casa Picasso, heard good things about Spice it Up - the place above Crazy Canucks.
BC's is no more - Carlo and Ernies across the Street and North of the bridge Coco Loco, are each worth a visit.
Also - the park by the river is lovely now - a Sunday afternoon swim and a burger at DJ's is great fun.
Rent bikes and bike the beach north of town. Lots of places to explore.
THERE IS ALSO PINOCCHIO, COCONUT CAFE AND EL FOGON.
Not to hijack the thread, but we will be there Saturday. What's the best place to rent bikes?
A lot of hotels have bikes.
We use Joe's Bike Rentals but you have a lot of places to select from. If you can, get a bike with a basket.
We have 7 peeps on 2 six seater carts if you want a ride!.!!
Joe's Bikes was great last month, and he is a bit of an island character. He takes this stuff serious.
MANELLY'S FOR GREAT ICE CREAM!!!!

What about the casual strollers? I would hate to see the beach become like Jamaica,(closed to the public) but more like Mexico,(open to the public).
According to British Commonwealth law here and in most countries the seashore is owned by the Government.
It's 66 feet from the waterline here.
The seashore can be managed and docks can be built with applications and fees but remain open to the public.
Obviously this rule is bent everywhere and disputes are arbitrarily settled by the locals with little regard for actual law.
