Hubby and I were in Belize earlier this year and loved the fish wrapped in foil that we had a Celi's during a Beach Bar B Que. It had some type of white sauce like stuff on it when you opened the foil. Anyone know what it was? We'd love to make it at home and since he just got diagnosed with high cholesterol we're going to be cooking more fish.
Thanks!
Don't want to be a killjoy, but it isn't the white sauce that's gonna help your cholesterol.
The white stuff is mayonnaise.
u could always use non-fat mayo...
like i use evaporated milk instead of cream! it's thick like cream but has the fat content of either skim milk - 2% milk! plus it tastes just as good or sometimes (and usually) better!!
Thanks everyone. I thought it might be mayo just didn't taste like it when it was mixed with the onion, etc. If I remember correctly it was basically fish with onion, tomato? and the mayo. Am I missing anything?
Lime juice, peppers and seasoned salt?
Okay, Bobber, now you're just makin me hungry! :p
