The 2014 National Elite Basketball League competition continued over the last weekend with a number of games across the country.

On Saturday April 26, at the Sacred Heart College Auditorium in San Ignacio Town, the league's leading San Pedro Tigersharks won quite handily over the Cayo Western Ballaz by the score of 70-65. The top scorers for the San Pedro Tigersharks were Winston Pratt with 17 points, 17 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals, Jamal Kelly with 13 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 3 steals, and Darwin Leslie with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.

For the Cayo Western Ballaz, the top scorers were Farron Louriano with 29 points, 15 rebounds, and an assist, and Richard Troyer with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals.

In the game played at Bird's Isle in Belize City, the Belize City No Limit Team walloped the visiting Toledo Diplomats by the score of 105-46. The top scorers for the Belize City No Limit were Akeem Trapp with 19 points, 4 rebounds, an assist and a steal, Gregory Rudon with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Kevin Domingo with 17 points, 5 rebounds and an assist.

Meanwhile, the top scorers for the visiting Toledo Diplomats were Daniel Valerio with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals and Jovannie White also with 15 points, 4 rebounds and a steal.

The competition continued on Friday April 25, out at the Stann Creek Ecumenical College in Dangriga Town, where the Dangriga Warriors upended the Orange Walk running Rebels by the score of 75-49. The top scorers for the Dangriga Warriors were Jamir Fores with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals, Trevaughan Usher with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals, and Davis Guzman with 10 points, and 7 rebounds.

For the Orange Walk Running Rebels the top scorers were Tyron Baptist with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Javier Gutierrez with 13 points, and 4 rebounds.

And on Thursday April 24 at the UB Gymnasium in Belmopan, the Belmopan Point Bandits defeated the Corozal Heats by the score of 83-81. The top scorers for the Belmopan Point Bandits were Jamal Harris with 22 points and 7 rebounds; Kyle Pascascio with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 2assists and 3 steals, and Christian Rodriguez with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.

For the visiting Corozal Heats, the top scorers were Marcel Richards with 27 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal, Jason Grant with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals, and Horris Patten with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

The competition will continue on Thursday May 1, 2014, at 7:30 pm out at the Stann Creek Ecumenical College in Dangriga Town between the Toledo Diplomats and the Dangriga Warriors.
On Friday May 2, at the Bird's Isle in Belize City at 9:00 pm, it will be Cayo Western Ballaz against the Belize City (Smart) No Limit. In the second game of the evening at the UB Gymnasium in Belmopan also at 9:00 pm the league's leading San Pedro Tigerhsarks against the Belmopan Point Bandits.

The competition will then continue on Saturday May 3, with two more games on the schedule. At the Punta Gorda Sports Complex in Punta Gorda Town, at 8:00 pm Orange Walk Running Rebels will go up against the Toledo Diplomats. In the second game of the evening at the Andres Campus Stadium in Corozal Town at 8:00 pm it will be the Dangriga Warriors against the Corozal Heats.
