Belize NMS: Moist and unstable conditions over our area continues to support cloudy and showery weather. A gradual improvement in weather conditions expected during the next few days.
Advisories: *The threat of localized flooding continues for low-lying areas of the country.* **Small craft caution for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms**
24-hour forecast: Cloudy skies with some showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms over most areas, but especially over the south and along the coast.
Winds: East - northeast 10-20 knots, becoming gusty near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

On Ambergris Caye this morning it's overcast and wet. The early morning temperature was 79f. so I'm sure Sanpedranos will be breaking out the winter jacket. No flooding yet but still a lot of rain coming.

From Belmopan...

Things are changing, even if not obvious. The high level wet Pacific cloud is now almost clear of the Caribbean, but it has been leaving behind a very wet Caribbean air, which resulted in a large Swell-up over southern Belize, which is still causing a lot of rain, some heavy, but its spill-out and the still wet Caribbean air is causing outbreaks of rain in many other parts of Belize. Belmopan had 31mm ( 1�") of rain over night. As the day warms, this rain should reduce.

I expect today to be mainly cloudy, the present rain should be reducing to fewer showers later.
