Belize Weather Forecast: September 27, 2016 General Situation: Belize NMS: A relatively dry easterly to southeasterly airflow will prevail during the next couple of days. Mainly fair on Wednesday, followed by another increase in moisture over the area. Advisories: None. 24-hour forecast: Sunny with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy tonight. Except for a few showers and thunderstorms affecting some portions of the country this morning and southern areas tonight, generally fair weather is expected. Winds: East - southeast 10-20 knots. Marine Forecast: Today: Winds: E-SE 10-20 kt. ; seas: Choppy - moderate; waves: 3-5 ft; a few showers and thunderstorms, decreasing. Tomorrow: Winds: E-SE 10-20 kt. Seas: Choppy - moderate; waves: 3-5 ft.; a few showers and isolated thunderstorms in the south, decreasing. Marine Outlook: (Wednesday night):- Winds: East 5-15 kt. Seas: Choppy; waves: 3-4 ft; a few showers and thunderstorms, increasing. Sea Surface Temp (°F): 84 General Outlook: Mainly fair weather is expected on Wednesday followed by an increase in showers and thunderstorms mainly along coastal areas late Wednesday night into Thursday. Tropical Weather Outlook: A well-organized tropical wave located about 475 miles east-southeast of Barbados continues to produce showers and thunderstorms. This system has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression or tropical storm later today or tonight as it moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph.
