How rainy is Belize in June? Does the rain come in short spurts followed by sunshine, or are there simply rainy days where the sun never shines?

We are thinking of planning a trip to Ac and the Tikal area. Would a trip during this time of year be recommended from a weather standpoint?

How accessible is Tikal (from San Ignacio) during this period?

Tikal is easy from San Ignacio. Not a problem. We went in June last year and the rain showers were short lived. Sunny most of the time. There was only one night that a good storm blew in, and the nice breeze was pleasant. I wouldn't worry.

Don't let the term "rainy season" get to you. In June it may rain, and may not rain. It might go weeks without rain... however when it does rain, it's usually just a brief shower and you will welcome it!
