Maybe we should have Charlene get the sign ready now for all the Texas Boarders that will be invading here places on the 15th. It should be a great afternoon. We will have to make a profound toast of some kind. Ya'll think of what it should be.
Kat
I'm from northern California, not from Texas, but will be at BCs on that day. Hope to meet some new people and have a great time. Looking forward to that BBQ!
lmarquis,
Sorry we all missed your four year anniversary on Saturday. Now figure that out.
CC
Me and Laurie will represent Sunny California for sure! I can taste that BBQ chicken already!
I can wear my honorary Texas AC lovers t-shirt though - I got one sent to me by one nice lady from Denver
ChooChoo- LOL. Hmmmm. 4 yr anniversary for what? If you are referring to those blue drink thingies, it has been more recent than 4 yrs, but don't think I am brave enough to have another one (well, maybe!).
Gela: Sunny and HOT California today! About 100 degrees here in Sac.
CHOOCHOO,
Now you know that we already had that big 4 year party at the end of Feb. The band that was playing at Fido's even came down and sang Pasa Getdown Dena and that other song that was apprpriate for the party. We all had a great time, hope to do it again in 4 more.
Kat
Oh good, Tom/Kat - you have eased my mind because I totally missed it. I still have a question mark over my head on this one.
If you look above the rafters on the south side of BCs, you will find (in red ink - if it is still there!), the names from the infamous attendees of the 2002 Turkey Day Pub Crawl. That was also a great ole time.
This time, look for the dazed woman who probably wont be hearing too good for a day or two. Starting off the vacation the night before with the Van Halen/Sammy Hagar concert in Sacramento!
Laurie - there have been many times that I began a vacation with a rock concert the night before. I know exactly what you'll be going through (The Rolling Stones prior to several trips to Hawaii I think). Plus you are on a redeye to Dallas aren't you? You're gonna need that massage for sure.
It's not so hot here in San Jose - in the mid to high 80's and a bit cooler today.
Laurie - yes that autograph on the rafters is there and has sparked many more. Had mexican last night and the restaurant served tequila shots in half a lime that is partially scooped out. Yummy! Maybe you can start a new trend with Charlene as limes are plentiful in San Pedro and I'm sure you can find some vitamin T.
The first item placed on the roof at BCs was my U.T. flag. (Thats The Univ. of Texas)
It could get you something, unless your just being a smart ass.
Hi Robert: that tequila/lemon-lime thing does sound pretty good. I'll see if Ernie can fix me up on that one. No problem with the Vitamin T. "Jose" will be accompanying me.
chill out Ernie - just messing wit ya
I received a note back from Charlene - she's got my bar stool ready!
Question - I have only been to AC once during Lobster season. Does BCs do anything with Lobster for their BBQ?
She usually has lobster then and it's wonderful, but being a rib aficienado that's always my choice.Have been trying to get Bruce to bottle that sauce as "Hog Wash",
Kat:
Give everyone except Bruce a kiss from me would ya?? Got the last suitcase unpacked yesterday, so am no longer the homeless bag lady anymore--am settled back in Seattle again. Hope you and Tom have a great time.
Vitamin T + RobertE = multicolor carwash and a lot of windshield washer fluid! AAAARRRRGGGHH!
Hey Now ! Tequila had nothing to do with that. I think it was something I ate or didn't eat !
Wanna bet? I was over-refreshed a bit myself...but that much I DO remember! Welcome to the Over_40 club old man!
Pirate, good to see you here! Where the hell you been, man?
Rich, Pirate, Robert and spouses: All you Colorado folks could pool your funds, charter a jet and fly down for the BC's BBQ on the 15th. Wouldn't that be a kick? Just think: an over-refreshment event to remember!

is she stuttering
NYGal - Laurie's an attorney - she's just emphasizing her case
Ohhhhh.....good one Gela
Leave Laurie alone! Pirate, Prepare to Board!! Arrgghhh!!!!!!(or whatever you do in this situation)
Are you gone yet Gela? Sorry that I missed you down there, but I warmed your bar stool for you.
Tell Charlene that I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to say goodbye ok? Have a wunnerful trip.
Teenah
That was a good one Gela!
Hey Rich, I'm still waitin on pix? I wanna see the bride and some token pix of AC!
PIRATE... I miss ya mon!!!
Robert, you and Loie's e-mail address ain't workin for me. Do you have another?
Teenah - Darn, I didn't know you were down there. I should have come earlier - it's been boring at work. I will surely pass the message on to Charlene. I'm leaving this Thursday for a short 5 night trip. Gonna be sure to do some Punta Dancin when I'm there!
Gela,
If I weren't so broke and worn out, and if I was prepared for my husband to divorce me, I'd get back on the plane and head down with you. Go on with that Punta Dancin girl. Sunday at Sharks and Monday at Canucks...Punta Boys are better than ever. Have a great time Gela. You deserve it!
Maybe we can time things better next year Teenah
Chucky-Bob...you gotta let me know where that restaurant is man! We can drag our significant other designated drivers along and do some plundering and pillaging...it's been too long since we've seen you two!
Hopeless...Denver's way too quiet without you! Come back for a visit?
Runtheotherway...man, it's been a loooong time since I've heard from you, and I don't get back on this board NEAR as much as I used to! Maybe it's time for another CCACS get together??? Sounds like RobertE has found the right place!
AAARRRRRGGGHHH!!!! Good to see all me 'ol mateys!
Yup, still got my CCACS t-shirt. Always ready to party--there is a tequila bar in North Denver--they probably have plenty of limes!
Thought of you the other day at Sloan's Lake where they had the dragon boat races. My buddy formed the team known as "Los Piratas". They still have not won a race, but they sure are fun to watch!
Pamela,
Mission accomplished. Sure is different without you there. By the way Tom was not with me on this trip, an old friend Gayle who used to work for Triton Properties when Monte was there came down with me this trip. The place is just not the same, there is a whole new group of regulars and they are great but all of those who have left us and those who have decided not to come down as often are really really missed.
I was soo worn out when I got there and had been playing Tuki Tuki at the festival for the prior 3 night, that I missed the BBQ on the 8th but got my act together for the one on the 15th. I expected to see alot of boarders there from the previous posted messages but could not tell who they were. We need to work on an ID thing for us boarders so we can be easily identified and get together. If you don't want to be identified as one of us prestigous people don't show the ID what ever it may turn out to be.
Can't wait until I can return but don't know when that will be at this point.
Kat
Kat: Gela and I were there. We didn't see anyone either when we were at the BBQ on the 15th, but then we didn't know who we were looking for! Sure was fun, though. I want to go back already and I haven't been home for a week yet!!
Pirate and Ronmyway - Sounds like North Denver works for all of us if anyone wants to do dinner or drinks. We are always game. Hope everyone is well, we've just been busy doing summer stuff but always find time to eat or drink!
how about some cool boarder T- shirts
Now, that is a good idea Danny - if someone wanted to coordinate this, could even be a fund raiser for a good cause on AC. Each boarder could write or have their name put on the shirt and wear it when at BCs (or bar hopping for that matter).
Hey Hope. How about some more shirts for the boarders?
Robert, I will go check out the food at the bar. Maybe by then Pirate will check back in.
drinking shots with Pirate--Aaaaargh!!!
Usually Charlene, if she's got a moment, introduces AC Message Boarders to each other at BCs since she knows most of us. She was so busy on the 15th that I didn't want to bother her. We were there early - 11:00am.
Gela,
I guess that I was there at about 12:00 noon and stayed until about 1:30 or so. Yes, Charlene was very busy and I heard that they were even busier on the 8th of August.
I still think we need to come up with some way to identify. Come on you guys think of something really cool.
Kat
OK, immissing and where would we puy it.
And don't even go there, I know what you are thinking.
Kat
Tom / Kat - LaurieMar and I were there until at least 12:30pm (and we came back for briefly a bit later and ran into Pedro1) so you likely saw us there - just didn't know it was us! We were sitting (enjoying our Seafood Combo) direct center of the bar with our backs to the ocean. Laurie might have been yelling something about a Docta
Maybe a t-shirt is the right idea for those who want to identify themselves. I don't mind doing something like that - hey, in my infinite wisdom when setting up my name on the board - I actually used my real name! No anonymity in my life - as you can see.
Charlene has some cool tank tops - maybe we could get some made up with AC Board Member on the back with a blank line for writing in your board name with a sharpie (if you so desire). Also like the idea of a fund raiser for the effort.
Food for thought
anyway.
Ahoy there, mateys! Sounds like we're getting close to resurrecting CCACS II! Lemme know some dates and I'll see if I can round up Bill & Sam fer the next event! CCACS lives again! AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!
Too funny, Pirate. I was talking to Skinny last week about that July 4th event and the blow up doll out by the pool!
Laurie - That's pirate's special girlfriend ! I think she sprung a leak and could probably use a patch. The ol' gal probably doesn't have any life left in her after that party !
Maybe Skinny should get her sister and fill her with helium and fly her above the Hammock House. That would be a definite landmark. "Look for the blow up doll flying overhead"
That is a great idea Robert - shoot, I should have suggested that to him, because he was laughing about it. Somebody needs to bring one down the next trip and hang her high!
I'd love to see the look on the face of the person in customs that pulls that outta the suitcase! Heck, I'm game...after all, I kinda already have a relationship with her! If Skinny doesn't have her by next summer, she's ridin' to AC with me!
I wonder if she would need a passport?
I wonder what it would cost her to leave the country - with the cost of "deflation" and all
Gela,
I was also sitting with my back to the sea and was at the end closest to The Sunbreeze Hotel.
RobertE,
The blow up doll would be too funny. Some poor loney guy would probably cut her down anf take her home with him, she wouldn't be there long I'm afraid.
Kat
Kat - then I was to the left of you then - I think I was wearing blue shorts and a white t-shirt - blonde - Laurie was to my left - brunette! We must have smiled at each other at least
Passport or no...the groupie-doll rides with me! I'll make sure she receives a place of honor (no pun intended) at the Hammock House. Any word from Runtheotherway? Musta sampled a few too many grogs! AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!
Gela,
Well if I didn't then consider yourself smiled to.
Kat
I'm planning on checking out the potential party place this weekend!!
Teenah...it's been awhile, how you been, girl?
Runtheotherway...be sure to give us an update when the hangover subsides! aaarrrggghhh!(a quiet argh so as not to aggravate your hangover!)
I'm having a hard time locating a place that serves grog!
Moho Caye, ask for Old Grog
hahaahha NY....good one....great memories of old Grog...
Absolutely
I wish Anansi could show up and give Old Grog a holler to come by for a bit. Most enjoyable. One great learning experience. The good ole days
Don't end up like this guy!

Man Caught Having Sex With Doll in Public
BERLIN (Sept. 1) - A man caught having sex with a blow-up doll in a busy public shopping arcade had to be physically parted from his rubber lover and escorted away, said police in Stuttgart on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old man was caught with his trousers down early on Monday evening after alarmed witnesses alerted the police.
"It was real, he was caught in mid-action with the doll," said a press spokeswoman. Police said that they had considerable difficulty separating the drunken man from his partner.
