What is the definitive answer regarding time change here?
Belize STAYS on Central Standard Time year round.
Belizian can not tell time, never mind about changing time.
Naw, they can tell time, they just dont give a damn
No we don't stay on central time all year round.
Sometimes we are on central time and sometimes we are on mountain time.
But of course technically WE stay on Belize time and the US observes day light savings.
Belize time doesn't change just some of the tv viewing requires some adjustments.
Does anyone know what Amanda just said ?
I said you are wrong if you think that Belize time and central time are the same year round Ernie B.
Belize Time Zone, GMT -6 = Central Time Zone. Your last sentence states " Belize time doesnt change"
Why am I confused ?
Try this Ernie. Time slows down in Belize yet my vacations go by very quickly. Try and make sense of THAT!

Did you know that the UK also observes day light savings?
Trust me on this one Ernie Belize time does not change. The clocks are not brought forward or moved back ever therefore our time does not change. Some of the nations nearby by such as Mexico and US move their clocks back and forth each year but we don't.
As of this weekend, Belize is 1 hour behind Central Time and 2 hours behind Eastern Time. That would mean we are currently the same as Mountain Time, no?
Dang Amanda, thats what I said and you told me I was wrong????????
I should read my 'tag line'
JZB, we ate on Central Daylight Time, which is one hour ahead of Belize which on Central Standard Time.

This reminds me of an old Chicago tune....does anybody really know what time it is....
"Standard" time does not change. That's the reason for the name "standard".
There is Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time.
They are not the same.
Right now its lunch time!
Belize is on Central STANDARD Time.
Some of the regions of Canada and the USA that were on CST are now on Central DAYLIGHT Time.
CDT = CST + 1h
Similarly, some of the regions that were on Eastern STANDARD Time are now on Eastern DAYLIGHT Time, and some of the regions that were on Mountain STANDARD Time are now on Mountain DAYLIGHT Time.
Belize doesn't utilize daylight saving time, so we didn't change our clocks, therefore we're still on CST.
On 27 March, Britain will begin daylight saving time and will be known as British Summer Time (BST). GMT does not change, so Britain will be GMT+1h or UTC+1h.
Well then, there we have it. Thanks MisterB
Relaxed, hope this is clear.
Ernie B - how's the golfing today?
Right now its lunch time!
What to have?? Rice and beans....
Hmm it just dawned on me - did the time change in the US? Is that what this is all about?
Better confer with my tv guide on this one.
times they are a changing...Dylan..
Yes, Amanda, most of Canada and the USA switched to daylight saving time on Sunday. Most of Mexico will switch on 3 April. I say "most of" because there are always some places that don't change.
But you have called others wrong and made a few inaccurate statements...
"No we don't stay on central time all year round."
In fact, Belize does stay on CST all year round, but we don't utilize CDT.
"Sometimes we are on central time and sometimes we are on mountain time"
We are never on MST, but you could say our time is the same as MDT.
"I said you are wrong if you think that Belize time and central time are the same year round Ernie B."
Belize time and CST are the same always.
People people people, Belize is on GMT-6. Thats it.
"There are two theories in arguing with a women, neither works"
Unless you go partying with Ernie, then it's GMT-$350 and I swear it's daylight losing time when I'm on AC -- maybe it's just me.
It's definitely beer-thirty someplace. That may be all you need to know if you're headed for a holiday on AC.
Enjoy!!
