Is a new gym being built in San Pedro? If so, where?

really? That's so close to Oscars. Is it a new facility being built or is it in an existing building. Will they have aerobics? When does this open?

Thanks Tina!! How exciting!! Three stories! I was just thinking when I was on vacation how I wished something like this existed on the island! Hope it is a success.

Now, if it would only open early and stay open late for those of us who work all day, every day (cause that is the only thing that has been stopping me from a regular work out routine)

Does anyone know of any aerobics/tae bo/any kind of classes going on right now?

Seems like everything has been cancelled.

Heard recently at aquafit class that tae bo is still up in the air as to getting going again will post if I hear anything further.

The new gym is in my vacation accommodation neighborhood. If anyone was interested I could teach a few classes (I specialize in Pilates Yoga Fusion, Step or High Low Circuits and Core Conditioning) as a guest instructor when I'm down in January. It might keep me on the straight and narrow for a few nights if I have to teach the next day

You missed the "living / working in Belize without a work permit" discussion.

As I have just learned, one cannot "legally" even volunteer one's services in a "private" facility. You can "legally" volunteer your services in a government owned facility with a permit.

The idea being that even if you're "working" for free in a private facility then you're "taking a job" from a Belizean.

So I guess you'll be off the "straight and narrow" your whole trip.

Maybe I'll just get together with a few friends, play some music and have a workout.
