I just stumbled upon the Hotel Internet Reservation System provided by Atlantic Bank. http://www.atlabank.com/hirs.php

Does anyone use this service? Is it helpful or have too many kinks? Anyone have an opinion on this?

We had someone from the bank give us the information a couple of years ago, but I don't remember why we did not use it. Maybe because the calendars don't integrate? Would be interested if anyone uses it and their experience with it.

I didn't use it because they were asking a very high commission (I think it was about 5%) because they argued that you would save the travel agent commission. The system was nice, with the option of making taylor made packages etc.

We are now going to use "Keep Me Booked" with GuestCaye, they have various Belize clients and they update your information automatically with the online booking sites like Expedia, Travelocity etc. Atlantic Bank is taking care of the interfaces. The only disadvantage is that you can't yet use 2 accounts (adding Belize Bank for American Express) but they are working on that.
