Hello,
I have a question?
How many kids are on the island attending school? roughly?
Will school be in session in April?

I have been to Ambergris Caye once before and would love to bring something the young children would need or like to have. Granted I can't do it all, but maybe a little something would help.

I am not rich but love the island...

I would love to come to the school and hang out for a day.

I just wonder what i could get away with lugging through customs...

" Excuse me sir why do you have 6 million crayons?........

I know any little bit helps but children are our future and I was wondering if i could bring anything with me when we cam down
anyways?...........

Hi tacogirl

I will be bringing a suitcase full of undies and socks. We are there Feb 2 - March 2 and staying at Seven Seas. Let me know what to do with them.

When I came down last October I brought Tacogirl a little treat bag for the kids. Well, wasn't so little... it was one of those zippered canvas bags they sometimes give away at malls, etc... and it was stuffed with just about everything you could think of... lined paper, scribblers, rulers, crayons, pencils, little basic first aid kit, books teaching writing, math, etc., stickers... the list goes on. It's amazing how much you can buy when you go to the local dollar store. And as someone else mentioned, when that package is removed, it leaves a nice hole to fill up with things coming home with you. grin

I didn't get to visit the school while I was there, but I now get regular updates/pictures from Francis by email and it's nice to see how what I took is being put to good use.

Every trip I make from now on will include a little care package.
