I'm not going to argue with you, I don't drink.
However Fredo, the head bartender who was there that night will.
He insists they served anyone who wasn't passed out.
15 minutes at Lobsterfest?
I've had to wait longer than that to get a soda when it's busy.
Last year it was posted on this forum that we had no Lobsterfest, period.
I had to post pictures pictures of the banner advertisements.
CC seems to get lots of bad press from it's Sister island?

The power was only out for 15 minutes?! Wow, sure seemed longer than that when we all wanted a drink. smile

So many people left and (we assumed) went to the tent instead. We waited it out and were glad we did. I don't want to argue with you about this at all, but I might have to take it up with Fredo when next I see him.

In any event, I'm not trying to give any bad press about Caye Caulker or the Lazy Lizard. LL is one of my fav places in the world and I had a blast that evening, even in the dark with no drink until the lights came back on. In the morning, I was glad that there'd been a bit of a dry spell the evening before.

By the way, I do apologise for not putting a smiley face in my first post in this thread. Truly, was not meant as a criticism, though can see how it looked that way. Truly, was just surprised as could be because yeah, like you guys have been saying . . . paper tabs and cash, shouldn't matter whether or not the lights are out. So was just surprised, erm, and thirsty. wink

Hey, no hard feelings!
I'm just a little sensitive because a lot of money was spent last year promoting the "Split Lobsterfest" affair only to have it pronounced dead on this forum before it even started.
Those posts caused a lot of confusion and cost the Split and CC businesses a lot of traffic.
Even on a regular day there are many people on both floors, sea-wall, deck and new beach.
The bartenders occasionally get overwhelmed without help from BEL, so the service can be a bit slow. wink
Still a unique experience!
