Yeah that's Richie Havens!!!! See he played in the Lions Den...Really!!!! There were only half a dozen of us there.....Late 80s as close as I can remember......Someone who lived here knew him.....

That is so kool Kay, not sure if it is because I recognized him immediately or that he played the Den, probably both...LOL
It was rumored that Jimmy Buffet was in town, staying at Ramons and that he was going to play at 7:00.....no one believed but we showd up anyways! Jimmy Buffet played about 16 songs at Ramon's swimming pool on an evening in 1987 or so and a young man who had just arrived, I think that afternonn..or so, Dennis Wolfe was asked to accompany him! There were only about 65 people there,sitting around the pool, a full moon right on the beach, shining through the coconut trees! Truly a "Margarittaville extravaganza! An evening I will never forget! Anyone have photos of that? Ask Dennis! I really think he was a newbe that night and he will remember the year for sure!
He sat with us on the beach one day , just strumming his guitar and chatting. Great fun!!

Wow, Richie Havens! Saw him play at the Field House (the real one, not the bar) in Iowa City in the mid 70's.

He came to belize with janette salfetty.. he played at the san pedro high school too.. amazing man i spent a lot of time with him.. and still see him yearly...
