St. George's Caye Resort offers something special amongst dive programs called Valet Diving. It refers to the personal attention given to our divers with an ideal ratio between instructors and divers. We prefer to have smaller groups that get more personal attention instead of larger groups doing "cattle diving." If you are a novice diver, or just haven't been diving in a while, our instructors will take the time to go over skills with you in the shallows of the ocean to make sure you are 100% comfortable and confident before going on dives. There is no rush with the Resort's program; we do this at your pace.
Our training program is conducted at the highest level of professionalism. We offer a Try Scuba program for you to experience diving under the direct supervision of an instructor. After teaching you basic skills in shallow water and going over some information that every diver needs to know, you go on a dive with your instructor as your dive buddy. After this introduction to scuba, you decide if you want to continue training and become a certified diver. Careful not to rush through the courses, our dive instructors have your safety, confidence and enjoyment first on their minds. What is most important to us is that when you are certified, we know that you have received the best possible training for life long enjoyment of the sport. Our business and reputation are built on the quality of divers that we have been training for over thirty years.

The Open Water Diver certification courses we conduct are taught to the standards prescribed by the RSTC (Recreational Training Council) of which SSI, NASDS, PADI, RMCA, SCUBA, IDEA, and PDIC are all members. This means that your course will contain the same information, dives, and exercises that you would be taught in stateside courses and that the certification received will be recognized worldwide. We have chosen to teach under the SSI, Scuba School International's system because this program gives more experienced instructors greater flexibility as to precisely how the course is conducted
On our dives, we do all the work and you have all the fun. Your equipment is checked, prepared, and loaded on the boat... even your mask is cleaned for you. You are assisted with putting on your dive gear before the dive, and then each person is assisted with taking off their gear at the end of the dive. At the end of each dive day, our crew will wash all equipment and have it organized and on the boat for the next scheduled dive. Many veteran divers cannot believe the pampering they are given at St. George's Caye Resort. This personalized service has become our signature in the diving world.
For the advanced diver, we offer a day trip to the Lighthouse Reef Atoll to visit the world famous, Blue Hole. Measuring 1000 feet in diameter and 408 feet deep, this sinkhole was made known to the world outside Belize by the explorations of Jacques Cousteau. Many divers come to Belize solely to explore this diving mecca. After the Blue Hole, we dive two other wall sites at Lighthouse Reef to explore some of the most entrancing marine life the sea has to offer. This full day trip includes lunch served on the picturesque Half Moon Caye Natural Monument, the nesting site of some 1500 pairs of Atlantic Red-Footed Booby Birds.

Belize can boast of approximately 180 miles of unrivaled barrier reef, hundreds of square miles of classic flats and reef fishing. The Belizean Barrier Reef sports a wide variety of prize catches; tarpon, grouper, cobia, barracuda, bonefish, rainbow runners, and triggerfish, to name a few that frequent the barrier reef. Our experienced guides offer bait fishing or trolling in the shallower reef protected seas.
If fly fishing is your game, come play in these waters and bring your camera. Permit, bonefish and tarpon are the marquee species anglers cross the globe come to catch in the flats off the coasts of the cayes. Throughout the waterways of the country, anglers will find success. Belize has a strong resident population of tarpon which average fifty pounds in the winter and in the summer they fill out to well over a hundred pounds.
Bonefish also have a year-round presence and are perhaps the most convenient fish to hunt. Step off the sandy shores of one of the cayes and you'll find yourself in a prime flat with no movement other than the flick of the bonefish's tail as he hunts for shrimp and the flick of your wrist as you fetch your prize. Permit can be found near the reef drop-offs and anywhere in the flats.

St. George's Caye Resort sits on one of Belize's best kept secrets, the pristine, historic and exclusive private residence island of St. George's Caye. A gracious circular pier, on which guests can relax as they gaze over a calm lagoon, lies on the west side of the Resort. The western sea is dotted with mangroves, homes of gentle giant manatees, dolphins and a host of other sea life. No need to look further than under the pier to see how rich and abundant the Caribbean Sea is. To the east, or windward side, lays the second longest barrier reef in the world and it happens to be our backyard. The trade wind keeps the deep tanning tropical sun comfortable to laze the day away. The two bodies of water are within a stones throw from each other, so all you need is to pivot from the middle of the resort to take in the view of the sunrise and then the sunset each and every day.

Our 4 Oceanfront Cabanas face the Caribbean Sea and border the white sand beach. Our main Resort, the hub of social gatherings and meals, includes 8 guest rooms. There are 4 Resort Reef Rooms situated at each corner of the lodge offering larger accommodations, with two-sided views of the ocean and/or gardens. There are also 4 Lodge Rooms situated in the middle of the lodge with one-sided views of either ocean or garden. Open Water Certification Course $475 US per person
Open Water Certification takes about 4 days and includes class lectures, confined water training, open water dives, dive gear, and personal attention from our instructors. It is recommended that you get the SSI Student Kit and do the reading and written reviews prior to the trip. This minimizes class time and maximizes the time you spend diving and having fun. This Student Kit can be sent out to you at your home address as long as you book early enough.
Advanced Open Water Course $200 US per person
(plus the cost of 5 dives needed for completion)
This is the next step to improving your skills as a certified diver. It entails doing 6 dives along with brief lectures covering areas unique to the advanced course
Nitrox Certification $150 US per person
(plus the cost of 2 dives using nitrox tanks)
Lectures in theory of Nitrox and comparisons to air and 2 open water dives with nitrox under the supervision of our instructors.
Scuba Skills Update Course - Cost $50 US per person plus the cost of one dive by the price
If you have not been diving for a year or more, you will be asked to complete a scuba skills update course. This is a one dive review of your skills under the supervision of an instructor. This course is highly recommended for anyone who would like to brush up on their skills!
Try Scuba – Cost $150.00 US US per person
Try Scuba enables you to experience breathing under water using scuba equipment under the direct supervision of our instructors in a safe and controlled environment. Included is a brief gear orientation and instruction in the pool.
Passport Diver – Cost $150 US US per person
(plus the cost of 2 instructor supervised dives)
This course provides you with very basic instruction and minimal information to allow you to dive with an instructor during your vacation. The course consists of a brief lecture, shallow water dive and 2 open water dives under the constant supervision of an instructor. The course allows you to make subsequent dives with our instructors during your vacation.
Certified Divers
If you are certified you can go out either in the morning for a 2 tank dive or in the afternoon for a 1 tank dive. You must bring with you your certification card and your log book. Also, you may be asked to provide a medical release form from your doctor stating that you are fit to dive.

Snorkeling Excursion $50 US per person
You don't have to scuba dive to take in the splendor of the sea. Exploring the coral reef from the surface offers viewing a wide variety of sea life in a most picturesque setting among corals, anemones and sponges, where you might see manatees, dolphins, stingrays and much, much more. All you need is your basic equipment; mask, snorkel, fins, complementary at the resort. Your snorkeling guide will take you to special sites and educate you on what you are seeing. We can arrange for private or group trips.
Manatee Tour $50 US per person
Get up close and personal with these incredible creatures. We take you on a guided trip through the mangroves and quietly pole the boat closer to see the Manatees in their natural environment without
disturbing them. Get an information card as a keepsake gift from us with some more information on these fascinating animals.
Trip to the Sandbar $40.00 US per person
We take you in the boat out to the sandbar, close to the reef to enjoy some time listening to the waves and swimming. The sandbar is a very shallow area of warm water and beautiful white sand. We bring out floating mattresses and chairs so that you get to relax in comfort. Enjoy a swim and watch for passing stingrays! A picnic of snacks is included.

Cultural and Eco Tours
Howler Monkey Nature Walk
(All day tour includes lunch). Within an area of approximately 20 square miles, straddling the mighty Belize River, the Community Baboon Sanctuary combines dense jungle with farmland, pasture, and small village life. The Black Howler Monkey is the largest monkey in the Americas, and found only in a small section of Central America. The village of Bermudian Landing, a 30-mile drive northwest of Belize City, is the center of activity for the project, and is easily reached as a day trip from the city. Once you get near it, the well placed signs will direct you right to the Visitor's Centre. You can often hear the mysterious, rasping roar of the monkeys in the distance, as soon as you get out of your vehicle. The Visitor’s Centre is an educational, jungle exhibit-type museum that demonstrates the interesting features and facts on the area. A guided trail walk that allows you experience the monkeys close up.
Altun Ha Maya Ruins
(All day tour includes lunch). Altun Ha, the most extensively excavated Maya site in Belize was a major ceremonial center during the Classic Period. Spanning a 25 square mile area, Altun Ha is made up of two central plazas surrounded by towering temples.
A priceless piece of history, the jade head of the Maya Sun God, Kinich Ahau, as well as jewelry, flints and skins are among the three hundred remnants that were unearthed here in a mysterious tomb discovered beneath one of the temples. Altun Ha is just one of the many Mayan ruin tours we offer.
Lamanai Maya Ruins
(All day tour includes lunch). Lamanai is one of Belize's largest ceremonial centers. It is also one of the most important. This site, situated along the New River Lagoon, features monumental architecture of temples and palaces dating from the Classic and Preclassic Periods. Postclassic artifacts are primarily of a residential nature, not immediately evident to the visiting tourist.
Belize Zoo
Located on the Western Highway, there are 150 birds, mammals and reptiles, all species indigenous to Belize. The zoo allows travelers to get memorable photos of the jaguar, tapir, scarlet macaw and jabiru stork. Mesh and wood enclosures resemble the animals natural habitat. A special attraction is watching the morning feeding.

(1/2 day tour includes lunch - Can be combined with the Zip Line trip) The caves Branch River and it's winding path through the Maya mountain and numerous caves once inhabited by an ancient people, is a popular place to go cave tubing in the rain forest of Belize.
An adventurous combination of cave tubing, hiking, and exploring within a cave system. Float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to lead the way. Glide past filtering mists of jungle light, as you float through underground river caves sparkling with mica-studded stalactites and stalagmites and filled with 1,000-year-old pottery shards, statues of fertility gods and Mayan footprints.
Jungle Zip Line
(1/2 day tour includes lunch - Can be combined with the Cave Tubing trip) Zip lining through the rain forest has become a popular and unique activity in Belize - a way for anyone to feel like Tarzan for a day. This is often combined with Cave Tubing or the Belize Zoo on the same day.
An exhilarating trip through the dense tropical rainforest canopy and refreshing cave tubing adventure! Secured by a harness with feet dangling free, zip line riders will traverse from 75ft high platforms whizzing past a stunning display of tropical flora and fauna. Daring participants will rappel to the rainforest floor from the final platform for a thrilling one-of-a-kind jungle adventure.
