The Magic of Belize... Like most tourists, we had great hopes for fun in the sun on our vacation in Belize. We did have fun, but it went way beyond that. 
It embraced us, enchanted us, and swept us off our feet. As vacation drew to a close, we knew we’d found it. Even thousands of miles away, the spell that had been cast would not let go. A few months later we bought a home right where we had that magic vacation.We wish we could be there all the time, but we can’t do that right now. When we are not there, you can rent our house, which we have named "Villa del Sol". Whether you seek privacy and quiet (a heavenly honeymoon or a rejuvenating get-away) or want a week of steady activity (days and nights can be filled with great "stuff to do") – you can have the vacation you seek with Los Encantos as your "home base" in Belize. Great – close the windows, turn on the A/C, and sleep until YOU want to get up! Slow your pace, shed your stress, kick back, and spend endless, beautiful days in paradise. Take a walk on the beach. Explore. Take a nap without being disturbed. Throw a line off the pier... maybe you’ll catch your dinner! Read the book(s) you’ve been meaning to get to. Refresh your body in the pool. Refresh your soul in the tranquil setting. Stargazing from the end of the pier is an enchanting way to end the day and really feel the "Magic of Belize". There is so much to experience—even when you do nothing!
After the "kick back" part of your vacation, you may want to "kick it into gear." SCUBA some of the finest dive sites in the world. Snorkel on the second longest barrier reef in the world. Swim with the sharks and rays at Shark-Ray Alley.
No hotel can provide you with so many options to design and realize your own dream vacation. TWO MASTER SUITES - each with a private entrance/exit to patio, pool, and beach. Keep the suite refrigerator filled with your favorite snacks and drinks. Each suite is equipped with an A/C unit and ceiling fan. Of course, you can always open the windows and enjoy that wonderful Caribbean breeze! 
Espacio del Sol. The signature suite of Villa del Sol. Gifted local craftsmen and woodcarvers created the stunning headboard for the king-size bed in our "Suite of the Sun." The whole room glows as the sun filters through the sheer yellow curtains. The Satellite T.V. in this room has many music channels. You'll find one just right for drifting off to sleep ... 
Jardin del Mar. Once again, the carved headboard for the king-size bed defines the space in our "Garden of the Sea" bedroom. All artwork in this sea-theme room is from the "Belizean Reef" collection of local artist Lee Vanderwalker-Kroll. Colorful tropical fish swim on every wall in this tranquil setting. 
Each bedroom suite has an adjoining bathroom featuring beautifully tiled counters and showers, and 2 sinks in each room. ALSO FEATURING...  INTERNET ACCESS IN THE VILLA. Just bring your own laptop and hook up via satellite. IPOD SPEAKERS. Bring your iPOD and enjoy the tunes YOU like to listen to. Living area with traditional rattan furniture made right here in Belize. Choose the sofa, the rocking chair, or the chaise for relaxing - all have views of the sea! 
Watch T.V. - (satellite) or listen to your favorite tunes on the stereo system. Bring your own CDs or pick from our favorites.

French doors open to a covered verandah with 2 comfy rocking chairs, a cushioned bench, and VIEWS OF THE SEA!  SUNSET VERANDAH – Just another cozy place for you to enjoy the beautiful Belize evenings. This screened verandah is where you will want to be when the sun makes its way to the West and disappears into the jungle. Linger a while and watch the fireflies put on a light show in the bamboo, and listen to the jungle come alive. The cushioned bench is seven feet long ... for the person who just can't get enough fresh air - YES! You can sleep out here!
POOL – It’s big and beautiful, with wide sunning decks around it; in a setting of brilliant white sand, graceful palm trees, and exotic tropical gardens. The perfect place to spend a few hours of relaxation.PIER – Whether for sunning, fishing, swimming or watching sea life, it’s your pier, enjoy it! Water-taxis and the Island Ferry will pick you up at the pier for excursions into San Pedro, day trips, or snorkeling/diving excursions.
And sometimes the "best of the best" is right in your own kitchen! You can have Lagniappe Provisioning stock the villa with basic foodstuffs and case-lots of beverages. Most guests like to do some "food shopping" for themselves upon arrival in San Pedro (your taxi driver will take you). FISH – For the fly-fisherman we can promise some of the best bone-fishing flats in all of Belize – located right in front of Los Encantos. All day or half-day fishing trips can be arranged, with your guide turning to chef when he cooks up the catch of the day for a beach picnic.
 We can hook you up with the best! Josh caught a barracuda! Not to be outdone, Meghan reeled in a kingfish...  Kathy caught this horse-eyed Jack on her first fishing trip in Belize. BIRDWATCHING – Sandpipers, great blue herons, white ibis, egrets, frigates, pelicans, songbirds, owls, hummingbirds, ospreys, banana birds, finches... all share the neighborhood with you at Los Encantos, Villa del Sol.BIKES – For the kid in all of us. We have four bicycles available for your use during your stay at Los Encantos. Take a ride along the beach. It’s a wonderful way to explore your surroundings, and get a little exercise, too!
KAYAKING – The Belize Barrier Reef is right outside your front door! A beautiful site, and fun to explore! For the adventuresome, we have a two-person sea kayak available for your use while at Los Encantos, Villa del Sol. Paddle out to the reef for some incredible snorkeling! Or... just paddle!TOUR BOOKINGS - (and other fun stuff to do) – The short story is this... If you want to do it, we can book it for you. SCUBA (half-day or all day), snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides, sunset dinner cruise, deep sea or reef fishing, Mayan ruins and jungle wildlife tour (Tikal, Lamanai, Altun-Ha), manatee watching tour, water-taxi to Caye Caulker for the day (and stop along the way to snorkel), cave-tubing, parasailing, windsurfing, jet skiing.
If your desire is a little more "passive", spend the day being pampered by a massage therapist who will come to the villa, or go to one of the local spas for manicures, pedicures ... the works! OTHER SERVICES - offered as part of your stay at Villa del Sol:

Maybe you will see a sea turtle at Hol Chan Marine Reserve. Parasail! See Ambergris from the air! Go cave tubing on an underground river and see where the Mayans lived. Fish (reef and deep sea). Take a day trip to a Mayan ruin (Altun Ha or Lamanai) and visit Bomba Village and Maruba Spa on your way.
